At the exit of the city of Shtip, in the Novo Selo area, on the right side of the river Bregalnica, are located the thermomineral springs Ldzite and Kezhovica.

In the past, at the site of today’s Ldzite springs, there were five larger springs known among the people as “Stara Ldzha,” “Baba Despotina Ldzha,” “Shondeva Ldzha,” “Jankova Ldzha,” and “Akserska Ldzha.” All of them were arranged in a straight line, and the water temperature reached around 55°C. In the past, women gathered here to wash and sing their traditional songs. Vessels were even used in which eggs were sometimes cooked. Because of this, the spring holds a special place in the hearts of the people of Novo Selo. There are memories of many songs sung about Novo Selo. The water of the Ldzite springs is not constant, as it depends on the river Bregalnica. The discharge of the main spring varies from 1 to 1.5 liters per second, while the water temperature ranges from 50–62°C. When the level of the river Bregalnica rises, along with the capacity of the thermomineral water, the temperature of the water in the Ldzite spring also increases.

About 300 meters downstream from the Ldzite spring, along the flow of the river Bregalnica, there is another spring, Kezhovica, where a spa complex has been built today.
